The Time Party aims to maintain a healthy balance between the environment and the needs of industry. UK wildlife and the countryside will be protected to ensure our children enjoy the maximum diversity of their natural inheritance.

The Party will press for a substantial reduction in the pollution of our water and air. We will maintain and considerably enhance flood defences alongside banning construction on flood plains. We will also insist upon the regular and thorough dredging of key waterways.

TIME believes that the viability of fracking should be decided at a community level. It would be the Party’s promise to make fracking a Land competence, under our plans to reform the UK.

Additional proposals are as follows: we will scrap carbon emission targets; ban the production of GM foods and farm-test areas; strengthen animal protection laws; instigate a major national tree-planting programme; create a government-backed Countryside Development Bank to support local farming communities.
